The Veda Way

The Veda Way.......

Ayurveda knowledge originates from India thousands of years ago and stems from the vedic culture.

Ayurveda places importance on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through attention to balance in one’s life, your thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs.

Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body mind and consciousness according to ones own individual constitution and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about balance.

A questionnaire is available if you want to know your body type and foods suitable for your constitution, as well as a range of herbal remedies and teas.

Know Your Body Type

In Ayurveda there is the concept of the three Doshas, or the different types of human constitution. From ether and air comes Vata, from fire and water comes Pitta and from water and earth comes Kapha.

All three doshas are present in each individual at all times, but their proportions vary from person to person. Each constitution has different needs, meeting these needs assures balance and a better chance for good health. It also offers you more informed choices in what health care methods are most appropriate for you.

If you want to know your body type and the food choices that will suit your body type, send an email to thevedaway@gmail.com and request the questionnaire. Once you know your constitution type an eating choice list is available to support your constitutional type.

Self-Inquiry

Many of us are currently living with stress, fear and anxiety and this comes from what is collectively happening out there in the world and our own individual fear, pain and suffering which we hold within ourselves.

We can let go of these negativities and patterns through a variety of different techniques. As we change, our world starts to change and the way we see people around us. One of these techniques is known as self-inquiry.

Journaling and self-inquiry is also known as processing.

Self-inquiry means to examine and to inquire deeply into the nature of our conditioned and unbalanced patterns we hold within us. Processing is a way of letting go and clearing all the excess baggage of the mind, body and emotional memories. As we start to process and let go a new energy level starts to flow into our lives, which brings joy and happiness.

The benefits of doing self-inquiry processing work

To become aware of yourself and others, have fewer personality conflicts with others

Increased energy level, ability to let go of negativity and fear

Becoming more creative, being more focused and clear

About Me

Natural Remedies have been a part of my life from an early age.

After finishing school I studied Analytical Chemistry and this helped me in making my own herbal formulations. My interest in herbs and healing lead me to study Ayurveda in India and I practice as an Ayurvedic primary health care advisor.

Through Ayurveda I have come to understand my body type and the healing properties of herbs. Meditation, yoga, breathing exercises and self-inquiry has also played an important role in my life and has supported me along my journey.
